#TeamSpero had a great time attending the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation Annual Awards Gala earlier this month!
We were honored to receive the Louise Herring Philosophy in Action Member Service award, which recognizes credit unions who put the credit union philosophy into action. Spero earned this award through our commitment to preventing Elder Financial Abuse in our communities. In the past year alone, we prevented over 60 scams and protected more than $224,000 in members’ savings.
We were also awarded the Disaster Response Champions Award for response in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. After the storm, Team Spero was able to quickly mobilize to provide financial relief, informational support, and direct community aid. This is the first time this award has been conveyed.
#TeamSpero had the wonderful opportunity to hear about the work of the @julievalentinecenter at their luncheon last week. Our team was humbled and left hopeful after hearing of the work this organization is doing for victims of sexual assault and child abuse in our community! ❤️
