If you have forgotten your Debit Card PIN, please call our Member Solutions Center at (800) 922-0446. For your security and protection, account access will be locked after three unsuccessful PIN entry attempts. If you are unsure of your PIN, it’s always best to contact a Spero member representative before attempting to log in to your account.
Yes! We have a process in place to automatically reissue you a new debt card before your current card expires. We ship out new cards in the middle of each month, so you will receive your new card a day or two before the old one expires.
If you cannot remember your PIN or your debit card is blocked, you can choose a new PIN by contacting the Member Solutions Center at (800) 922-0446.
If you suspect fraudulent activity on your debit card, please call 800.918.7313 immediately.
You can use your debit card anywhere Visa® is accepted.
Your debit card will work in most foreign countries. However, there are a few countries where we block transactions due to specific circumstances and agreements. To verify whether your card will work once you reach your destination, please contact the Member Solutions Center at (800) 922-0446 at least two business days before your departure. This will also allow us to unblock your card for the time period of your travels, avoiding any interruptions in your usage while you are away.
To activate your debit card, please call the phone number denoted on the letter the card was mailed on.
Spero Financial ATMs are surcharge-free for our members, so we recommend using these as often as possible. You can find a complete list of Spero ATMs and branches on our locations page. There are several reasons your card may not work properly. Here are a few suggestions:
  • If you are trying to make a credit-based transaction and the transaction fails, try using your card as a debit card. Credit and debit transactions process via different networks, so this option can help avoid network-related issues.
  • Your card’s magnetic strip may be damaged. If you experience this problem at multiple locations, you can request a replacement card by contacting your local branch, sending a secure message via MONEYLINKSM online banking, or calling our Member Solutions Center at (800) 922-0446.
  • Your card may have been blocked for suspected fraud. If that is the case, we will notify you by phone and/or text. If you haven’t spoken with us by phone about this issue, please check your voicemail messages.

PROMOTION ENTRIES: Automatic Entries: An eligible Spero Financial member in good standing will receive one (1) entry for each transaction made with their Spero Financial debit card, starting Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 12:00:00 a.m. EST through Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:59:59 p.m. EST. Manual Entries: Spero Financial members and non-members who wish not to use a Spero Financial debit card or do not have one may be entered for a chance to win by sending an email during the promotion period using the subject line “2024 Summer Spend to Win Giveaway” to [email protected] and include your legal name, mailing address, and phone number.

PROMOTION PERIOD: Promotion starts at 12:00 a.m. on June 12, 2024, and will end at 11:59 p.m. on August 30, 2024. All times are Eastern Time and denote the time we receive your entry.

NUMBER OF ENTRIES: Automatic Entries: An eligible Spero Financial member in good standing will receive one (1) entry for each transaction made with their Spero Financial debit card, starting Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 12:00:00 a.m. EST through Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:59:59 a.m. EST. Manual Entries: Manual entries are limited to one per eligible person and the email must be time-stamped and received by Spero Financial no later than 11:59:59 a.m. EST on August 30, 2024.

PRIZE DRAWING: Spero Financial will randomly select three (3) winners from qualified entries after the promotion period is over. Each winner will receive a $1,000 prize deposited into their Spero Financial checking account, if available. Otherwise, the prize will be deposited to any Spero account in the winner’s name, or a check will be issued at our discretion. If entries drawn are for a single winner, the winner is eligible to receive multiple prizes, up to $3,000. The drawings will take place no later than Friday, September 20, 2024. The selection of a prize winner hereunder will be final. Winners do not have to be present to win.

ELIGIBILITY: At the time of the drawing, you must be 18 years of age or older, a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, have a U.S. mailing address (applies to manual entrants who don’t have an account with Spero), and have all your accounts and loans with Spero Financial in good standing. All employees and volunteers of Spero Financial and their immediate family members residing in a single household are not eligible.

APPLICABLE LAWS & TAXES: Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Prize winners are responsible for all federal, state, local, and other taxes or assessments that may be associated with or imposed upon the winner of any prize in this promotion.

ACCEPTANCE OF PRIZE: By accepting a prize, the winner consents to the use of their name and photograph or likeness for advertising and promotional services such as the CU’s newsletter, website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc., without compensation. Failure of the entrant to follow the rules of the promotion will void the entry.

RELEASE OF CLAIMS: All winners, members of any winner’s household, relatives, and persons who use any prize awarded by Spero Financial and such person’s heirs, assigns, executors, and administrators release and exempt Spero Financial and its directors, officers, staff, agents, and volunteers from any and all claims, actions, demands, or damages which they have now or anytime in the future arising from use of any prize, including personal injury or death. Spero Financial is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries. Late, misdirected, or incomplete entries will be disqualified. If prize winnings are deposited to your account with Spero Financial, you understand and agree that anyone authorized to conduct transactions on such account will have unlimited access to the prize funds once the deposit is completed.
