Greenville, SC (September 17, 2025) – Chelsea Newton, Community Relations Specialist for Spero Financial, has been named to Greenville Business Magazine’s 2025 Best and Brightest 35 and Under list. Each year, this list recognizes young people who are committed to making a difference in the Upstate community and business world.
After graduating from Western Carolina University in 2015, Chelsea relocated to the Upstate. She first joined Team Spero as a Lending Specialist before transitioning to Community Relations Specialist in July 2021.
In her role, she has coordinated countless community service projects and initiatives. Most notably, she is responsible for Spero’s annual Pink Walk and Fun Run, an award-winning event that brings the Upstate community together to raise awareness and financial support for breast cancer research.
Outside of her work with Spero, Chelsea serves on the Board of Directors at New Foundations Home for Children, a nonprofit organization that serves at-risk youth and their families.
When she learned of this recognition, Chelsea shared, “I’m truly grateful and deeply honored to receive this recognition. It’s a blessing to engage with our community and work together on initiatives that truly impact the lives of those around us. Greenville is my home, and being a part of its growth and success is something I deeply cherish.”
In response to Chelsea’s award, Bethani Williams, VP of Marketing, said, “If you know Chelsea, you know that her work is driven by a deep-level, personal passion for making our communities greater. While a lot of her work is done behind the scenes, this award shines a light on all her contributions. From her natural gift of building meaningful connections to representing our Credit Union throughout the Upstate, her impact is invaluable, and we are so grateful to have her on the team.”
Chelsea and other award recipients were recognized in a ceremony on September 16th at Magnetic South Brewery in Greenville.
