Throughout the year, we celebrate Spero team members who best exemplify two of our organization’s Core Values: The Heart of a Servant and The Mind of a Champion. These awards are presented to employees based on nominations from across Team Spero.
The Heart of a Servant Award is given to someone who is compassionate, humble, empathetic, and selfless. The recipient for Q4 2025 is Kay Donald.
In the award nomination, a peer shared, “Kay always goes above and beyond for our members! Once specific situation that sticks out is when a member`s wife had trouble with walking… Kay walked the paperwork out to the member to avoid the wife having to come into the branch. Her selflessness cannot be measured and her willingness to see others succeed is so refreshing.”
The Mind of a Champion Award is given to a team member who is passionate, coachable, dedicated, accountable, and empowered. The recipient for Q4 2025 is Elliott Roman.
In the award nomination, a colleague wrote, “Elliott is always looking for ways to help members and make their lives easier, whether that means proactively assisting with recurring payments or taking the time to ensure they feel supported and understood. Elliott is also our go-to support for Spanish-speaking members. He never hesitates to step in, even during difficult conversations, and he does so with patience, professionalism, and compassion.”

²Must meet minimum credit and collateral criteria to qualify. 90-days of no payments refers to loans set up on a monthly payment frequency. Weekly, Bi-Weekly, & Semi-Monthly payments will begin sooner to allow a full payment to be made by the 90th day. Existing Credit Union loans are not eligible for refinancing with this offer.
