Greenville, SC (March 2, 2023) - Brian McKay, President and CEO of Spero Financial, has been named to Anderson University’s Board of Trust.
McKay, alongside 25 other trustees, will provide strategic vision and guidance to the University. The Board of Trust aims to propel the University’s mission forward to provide a well-rounded, higher-education experience for students that develops them intellectually, spiritually, physically, and socially.
Anderson University is among U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Regional Universities South,” and is on the publications “Best Value,” “Best Undergraduate Teaching,” “Best First-Year Experience,” and “Best Online Programs” lists. Anderson also is ranked #25 nationally for Student Engagement by the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education; is a “Best College” among institutions of higher education in the southeast by The Princeton Review; is a four-time Apple Distinguished School; and is on the honor roll of the prestigious Great Colleges to Work For program.
In addition to his service on the Anderson University Board of Trust, McKay serves as chairman on the Langston Charter Middle School Board of Directors, treasurer of the Langston Foundation Board of Directors, board member of the Carolinas Credit Union League, and member of the Advisory Council and Finance Committee for Homes of Hope. Named President and CEO of Spero Financial in April 2020, the credit union has earned numerous accolades under McKay’s leadership including being recognized as a Best Place to Work in SC (2021/2022) and Top 10 Credit Union to Work for in the Nation (2022).
